Dream Moonrise

The creation features a double-circle silhouette. When unfolded, the lower veers into a ‘half-moon’ tea-brewing area while the upper, a ‘full-moon’ display area. The dual purpose comes with an ‘open- close’, seamlessly space-efficient, and scenario-versatile likewise. The mobile top ranges from ‘crescent’, ‘waxing-moon’, to ‘half-moon’, when merged backwards, coming to ‘roundness’ fruition (the perimeters at 1,800mm are proportionally one second to the leg width at 3,600mm.) Infused in the Orient philosophical heritage of mortise & tenon joint, the craft is specially sourced from North American black walnut and African ebony for stability and sturdiness, with iconic traits of sustainability and renewability which have effectively formed the differentiated characteristic of the ‘half-moon’ style. For a spin on precision, its eco-conscious fabrication is CNC-processed, via cutting, splicing, and carving.
