Space, with the presence of human, is imbued with delights, warmth, and vitality! When the resonance between people and spatial design is achieved, it weaves elevated sentiments beyond forms, further deepening interactions and bonds between individuals.

This project involves the design for a 4-story standalone villa, intended to accommodate three generations of a family. The brief also called for inclusion of functional workspaces into the existing framework. By thoughtfully allocating different floors to diverse needs, the team provided a comprehensive solution in response to the quest for a practical, human-centric abode.

Considerations of the layout focus on practicality, versatility, and inclusiveness to meet various requirements of this multi-generational household, while also fostering interaction among its members. By reducing bulky partitions and unnecessary compartments, the horizontal plan is opened up, allowing natural light to permeate. Irregular or odd corners are addressed by incorporating functional cabinets and shelving, which serves bi-folded purpose of enhanced spatial efficiency and preventing dark corners. Through well-proportioned colors and placements, the design laid the crucial foundation for life-work balance.

Inspired by the favored American style of the female owner, the overall approach emphasizes textural qualities of materials and painted surfaces. Here, interwoven details of natural stone, wood and titanium-coated metalwork craft an inviting expression of understated luxury. Decorative paneling, wall moldings and soft furnishings enrich depth and layers of a serene, elegant living space.
