Single living is not merely a change in residential status — it is a conscious practice of returning to oneself. Centered on the homeowner's identity as a devoted baseball enthusiast, this project transforms personal passion into spatial language, shaping a residence that balances social interaction with inward reflection. The design translates baseball's spirit — trajectory, rhythm, and concentration — into a perceivable spatial order that reinterprets the motion-stillness balance of contemporary urban single living.
Two key strategies emerge from this concept. First, structural constraints at the entrance — beams, columns, and feng shui considerations — are reframed as opportunity: the entry becomes a display vignette where the homeowner's treasured baseball and bat are quietly integrated within a calm, restrained atmosphere. Second, the dynamic imagery of baseball stitching is abstracted into a flowing arc motif extending across the ceiling, feature wall, and dining table, elevating personal passion into an immersive everyday experience.
The public zone integrates living, dining, and kitchen functions into an open environment for gatherings and shared meals. A window-side daybed platform with a pre-installed ceiling track transforms into a guest room when needed, enhancing long-term adaptability.
Within the private zone, a dressing corridor creates a transitional layer between functional areas, while structural elements are integrated into bedside storage as a unified composition. Projection equipment is calibrated for optimal viewing, shaping a quiet personal retreat.
All system furniture meets nationally certified low-formaldehyde and Green Building Material standards comparable to Germany's Blue Angel eco-label, supporting carbon reduction and circular economy principles — reflecting a commitment to both refined aesthetics and sustainable living.
