On December 20, 2025, the Christmas light installation at Tamsui Golden Waterfront officially illuminates. Centered on the themes of warmth, romance, and playfulness, the exhibition integrates six interactive lighting zones that seamlessly blend riverside scenery with light art, creating a narrative-driven and immersive festive environment. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by the main visual highlight—an 8-meter-tall Christmas tree accompanied by a gingerbread guardian installation. Rendered in warm lighting tones and three-dimensional forms, it establishes a strong visual focal point and introduces the story’s opening chapter. Along the promenade, multiple interactive installations unfold.

The Christmas light installation adopts “warmth, romance, and playfulness” as its curatorial foundation. All structures are fabricated using lightweight aluminum alloy frameworks combined with weather-resistant plastics and acrylic panels, ensuring durability, safety, and outdoor adaptability. Key installations such as the Christmas tree and gingerbread guardians utilize warm-toned illumination to create focal highlights, while interactive zones—including the Crystal Wish Box, Snowman Hug, Candy Cane House, and Starlight Corridor—integrate motion sensors, projection mapping, and layered lighting techniques to enhance user engagement. The bridge’s dual-curved structural form symbolizes the Milky Way, reinforcing the narrative of celestial reunion.

For Valentine’s Day 2026, the Chen Guang Bridge in New Taipei Metropolitan Park hosts a themed light exhibition titled “Fairytale Dreamscape: Starlit Love.” Expanding beyond conventional romantic expressions, the installation invites visitors into a story-driven, immersive environment where love, fantasy, and interaction converge. Drawing inspiration from the legendary reunion of the Cowherd and Weaver Girl, the bridge is transformed into a symbolic Milky Way—spanning time and space through flowing light sequences and cascading illumination.

The Valentine’s light installation is designed as a continuous experiential narrative—from entrance to pathway to central plaza. Lighting installations, riverfront scenery, and interactive elements are seamlessly connected, ensuring that each step offers opportunities for engagement, photography, and emotional resonance. The result is a cohesive and memorable journey, transforming the urban nightscape into one of the most romantic seasonal experiences.
