A Place Where Music is Built
Concept Statement|
Design Narrative|
Spatial Concept|
(Sequence)
(Rhythm)
(Gathering)
(Landscape)
Material Strategy|
(Brick)
(Wood)
(Stone)
(Light)
Campus Identity|
A Place Where Music is Built|
Using architecture as a vessel to nurture music into culture
Concept
Music is not merely performed—it is cultivated, accumulated, and passed on.
This project envisions architecture as a vessel that nurtures sound, where spatial design supports learning, creation, and exchange. Through the careful orchestration of materials, light, and circulation, the campus becomes an environment in which music grows naturally and becomes part of everyday life.
Design Strategy
The design balances structure and emotion. Stable materials such as brick and stone convey a sense of history and academic identity, while warm wood introduces comfort and human scale. Generous openings connect interior spaces with the surrounding landscape, maintaining openness, vitality, and visual continuity.
Architecture is therefore not only a physical setting, but a cultural framework that sustains artistic development.
Spatial Experience
A clear spatial sequence guides users from entrance to classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and performance areas, forming a rhythmic learning journey. Variations in scale, light, and material create spatial rhythms similar to musical composition. Shared areas act as social and creative hubs, encouraging interaction among students, while integrated greenery enhances well-being and campus vitality.
Identity
The project establishes a recognizable and enduring campus image—professional, grounded, and culturally meaningful—positioning the school as a place where creativity is supported and music is continuously built.
