Ottera Health: Human-Centered AI for Mental Healthcare

Ottera Health is an AI-assisted mental healthcare platform designed to support patients between therapy sessions while keeping therapists in control of care decisions. The system helps reduce gaps in mental health support by combining therapist-guided treatment plans, AI-assisted session analysis, personalized follow-ups, and progress tracking in a unified experience.



The platform includes AI-generated diagnostic insights based on DSM-5 criteria, treatment recommendations, between-session guidance, and patient progress monitoring. Therapists maintain full oversight and can review, adjust, or reject AI-generated suggestions at every stage.



Designed with a human-centered approach, Ottera Health focuses on accessibility, emotional clarity, and continuity of care. The project explores how AI can assist overwhelmed mental health providers while helping patients feel supported during difficult moments outside scheduled appointments.
