Thinking about the adaptability of contemporary residential spaces at different growth stages, this project renovates a forty year old house for a family with a toddler and a pet. The layout minimizes fixed decorations to maximize spatial flexibility by adjusting the footprint, lowering styling density, and using durable materials. A low saturation palette of black and gray combines with dark wood and metallic lamination, redefining a modern home with both warmth and clean luxury.

The visual language establishes breathing room through deep contrast. Dark wood surfaces and gray tones are elevated by light herringbone flooring, creating a rhythmic structural spine. The living room features clean molded lines on the television wall, balanced by textured coating mimicking rough travertine on the sofa backdrop. Symmetric glass grid doors embrace natural light and greenery. The kitchen becomes a signature zone with rose gold metallic gloss laminates, while the master bedroom lowers decoration density with earthy tones for tranquility.
