The property sales space is located in Jingjiang, Jiangsu Province, China, and adjacent to the famous inland river-the Yangtze River. The object of the designer is to meet the essential commercial sales function requirements and draw inspiration from the waters of the Yangtze River. Thinking in the veins of traditional Chinese culture and infusing it as a part of the interior design program, they intend to bring out a perfect match of oriental culture elements and modern interior style by design technique, and highlight the effect of collision. The design concept aims at exceeding the pure commercial needs and in turn, unveiling the deeper meaning voiced by this sort of space, and highlighting the unique aesthetics of traditional and modern elements combined in the same space. The interior space is based on modern style, the designer is further inspired from the Yangtze River, and the decoration details are infused from the perspective of traditional Chinese culture. Carp swarms and other associated images are widely used in the elevator doors and the back wall of the reception desk, and displayed in liquid metal panels. In addition, the snow sintered stone as a decorative material is inspired from the depiction of the ancient Chinese poem lines “A lonely fisherman afloat, Is fishing snow in lonely boat”, an icon of the beautiful view of the snow-covered river or lake in winter, metaphorically representing the Yangtze River. As a result, carp swarms and water streams are perfectly presented in this space, as if the Yangtze River was flowing in it. More importantly, many dark color elements, including metal, tiles and glass, are used in the space, snow sintered stone moderates the tonality and atmosphere, so that the interior space will not look dreary. Notably the background wall of the wine cabinet in the hall is painted orange-red tone, a bold use of jumping colors that makes the modern decoration more trendy and modern. The designer ingeniously fuses some elements that seem to be incompatible in the same space without offending feeling. This demonstrates a well-proportioned control of the whole space.
