2024 TAOYUAN LANTERN FESTIVAL-SPARKLING TAOYUAN

The 2024 Taoyuan Lantern Festival, titled " Sparkling Taoyuan," differs from previous lantern festivals as it incorporates a significant amount of stage moving lights and laser beams instead of traditional main lanterns. This innovative light show reduces the use of various disposable materials typically used for main lanterns, thus avoiding waste management issues after the lantern festivals. It also breaks away from the fixed form of traditional lanterns, using moving lights to outline different shapes and create variations in light beams. Through immersive audiovisual effects, we aim to provide participants with an experiential journey, allowing them to fully appreciate the charm of the lantern festival.



In the design of this lantern festival, we utilize lights of various colors and lasers to showcase the integration of Taoyuan's diverse cultures and its tourism highlights. The performance begins with the awakening of a divine dragon, symbolizing the start of the Year of the Dragon, and employs intersecting lighting and lasers to depict the dragon's movements among the clouds. Green beams represent the exhibition area of the Taoyuan Lantern Festival—Nanchang Forest and Sport Park, while the flickering red, blue, and white lights symbolize Taoyuan's military dependents' village culture and the iconic landmark, Flag House. Dynamic arc-shaped beams interpret the rise of the Taoyuan Aerotropolis. Towards the end of the performance, lasers guide the divine dragon back to the main stage at Nanchang Forest and Sport Park, converging various beams in the sky like airport runways, symbolizing Taoyuan's role as a gateway to the world and its alignment with the international community. With rich light colors, laser effects, and magnificent music, the lantern festival adds dazzling charm to Taoyuan.



In the design of this light show, we use light effects to interpret Taoyuan's diverse tourism allure and incorporate reusable lighting fixtures and structures, demonstrating our commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility, while presenting audiences with a new form of lantern festival.
