Ecological Jigsaw is an art installation designed and created by a designer, with the participation of eleven community businesses and the public in material recycling. It features a three-dimensional puzzle system made from recycled coffee grounds, tea leaves, waste paper, and wine corks. The interlocking pieces form a stable yet dynamic structure, enhancing spatial perception and showcasing how sustainable materials contribute to broader systems. These new environmentally friendly materials will be used in urban construction. The project draws inspiration from jigsaw puzzles, reflecting the intricate and connections between individuals, society, and the environment. Each piece's movement influences the overall structure, highlighting individual and collective impacts within the circular economy. 11 community enterprises and residents collectively collect waste, designer handcrafting the recycled materials into a large puzzle using molds made from recycled sawdust. The base of the installation is made of sand, which can be recycled and turn back into sand after being reheated at high temperatures. Modular design ensures stable support, convenient assembly, transportation, and maintenance, reducing carbon footprint. Moreover, It explores a cross-sector corporate recycling network, enhance market acceptance and economic value of recycled resources through public art.
