The project originated from a clear and specific vision set by the client: to create a building complex that not only stands out in design but also embodies a new approach to architecture. The aim was to depart from the typical "loudness" of contemporary buildings and instead focus on three key elements: Heritage, Timeless Elegance, and Sophistication. The main inspiration was drawn from the traditional living complexes of Xinchang, where multiple buildings, often constructed at different times, were arranged around a protected communal space, fostering interaction and exchange. Building on this concept, the project resulted in the creation of three main structures, each with a distinct purpose: one for commercial use, one for residential use, and one for hospitality. While each building features unique characteristics in terms of shape and facade design, they all share the same construction techniques, materials, and colors, emphasizing the unity of the complex. To further enhance this connection, an elevated walkway links all three buildings, looking inward towards the beating heart of the complex: the plaza. Among these, the residential building rises to 100 meters, serving as both a representative element of the complex and a recognizable landmark.
A key aspect of the project is the seamless realization of the client's vision across the entire complex. Every element, from the exteriors to the interiors, from the landscaping to the signage and its visual identity, aligns with the same overarching principles, resulting in an exceptionally cohesive environment. In each of these areas, extensive work was carried out by drawing on the expertise of internationally renowned studios. Whether you're approaching the complex, shopping, or arriving at your accommodations, the spatial experience is designed to be both rich and seamless. The iconic residential building, ONE RESIDENCES, within the complex is rooted in the cultural and historical heritage of Xinchang. After two years of dedicated effort, the finest materials from around the world were selected, refined, and carefully considered for their weight, sound, scent, and texture, awakening people's imagination about space, scenes, stories, and the environment.
