About The Entry

The design inspiration for the Forest Language Paradise comes from the natural wonder of "fireflies in the jungle," combined with the concept of "boxes," transforming the entire space into a magical playground for children. This project cleverly addresses the challenge of cluttered shear walls in the elevated space by dividing it into multiple functional boxes. Each box serves as an independent functional area while also being part of the overall space, creating a harmonious and fluid experience. The various functional boxes provide rich experiences for children, including the Jungle Observation Deck Box for enjoying the view from above, the Firefly Slide Box for imaginative adventures, the Forest Language Classroom Box that combines education and entertainment, the Jungle Memory Box showcasing exquisite butterfly specimens to foster a love for nature, and the Jungle Training Camp Box for developing balance and coordination. Additionally, the Parent Rest Area Box offers a comfortable space for observation and relaxation, promoting family interaction and shared moments. The original architectural structure was complex; the integration of "box" installations with design techniques mitigated the site’s disadvantages. The cost budget is limited, and new materials are selected to replace high-cost materials while ensuring the effect. Effective collaboration among various professionals helped address the series of issues arising from a tight schedule. During the design of the architecture, landscape, and interior spaces, emphasis was placed on using natural light, colors, and materials to create a comfortable environment and minimize environmental impact.
