Wuli Xiang Garden Club

Situated along the arts-focused West Bund in Shanghai’s Xuhui district, this project blends an international lifestyle perspective with the essence of Eastern aesthetics to create Wuli Xiang, a top-tier artistic garden clubhouse. The name, derived from the Shanghainese phrase meaning “at home,” reflects the vision of crafting a space that extends the warmth and nostalgia of home.

Wuli Xiang adopts a garden-like spatial sequence to design a layered path to homecoming, offering an evolving emotional journey. From the entrance to the interiors, the use of materials such as wood veneers, lambskin, brass, and jade creates a warm, tactile ambiance that exudes relaxation and comfort. Complementing this, the interior styling incorporates lacquer art pieces, hexagonal stone sculptures, an antique piano, horn speakers, and imported furniture with Oriental flair. These carefully curated elements, imbued with warmth, craftsmanship, and a sense of time, bring vitality and understated charm to the space.

Drawing inspiration from a profound understanding of modern luxury living, the project seeks to establish a world-class waterfront lifestyle model that harmonizes future-oriented vision with Eastern elegance. Through the integration of furniture from Liaigre, the design not only achieves a sense of refined sophistication but also embodies a natural grace and relaxed luxury, perfectly encapsulating the allure of Shanghai’s urban waterfront living.

The design narrative reimagines the space as interconnected fragments of memory, inviting visitors to uncover the hidden layers of meaning and subtle expressions of Shanghai’s unique character. This project is more than just a high-end clubhouse—it is a heartfelt dialogue between art and life, tradition and modernity.
