Beijing Satellite Factory1#Renovation HYGEA Office

The headquarters of HYGEA Health Group is located in Factory No. 1 of the Beijing Satellite Manufacturing Plant, originally established in 1958. This site holds historical significance as the birthplace of "Dongfanghong-1," China’s first artificial Earth satellite. The interior renovation embraces the concept of "coexistence of old and new, harmonious symbiosis," preserving original structural elements while seamlessly integrating new structures and spaces. The design blends the industrial historical charm accumulated over time with the open, shared, and modern atmosphere of a technology company headquarters.

Facing the preserved gantry frame of the factory, the central office atrium is transformed into a linear ecological courtyard. Indoor green clusters connect workspaces, meeting rooms, and shared areas, creating a “garden office” concept that fosters a warm and inviting headquarters ambiance. Small meeting rooms, designed as “glass capsules,” are placed along one side of the green courtyard, forming a dynamic and relaxed spatial layout. Newly constructed office mezzanines on both sides of the atrium maintain visual connectivity while offering relative independence for different departments. At each end of the green atrium, sculptural spiral and T-shaped staircases act as visual focal points, enhancing the spatial experience and connectivity.
