Heshan Verge is an innovative renovation project designed as a multifunctional citizen service centre in Heshan City, Guangdong Province. This project adeptly integrates contemporary urban requirements with the cultural characteristics of the locality, establishing an open mixed-use development for governmental services, cultural engagement, and community recreation. By employing VR technology and digital platforms, Heshan Verge offers citizens a streamlined and efficient service experience.

Drawing inspiration from the unique landscape of Heshan and the principles of Lingnan culture, the architecture emulates the graceful ascent of a crane spreading its wings to fly and features a staggered design that harmoniously integrates with the natural surroundings, resulting in a dynamic and richly layered spatial experience. The exterior, characterized by low-saturation earth tones, resonates with the adjacent environment while simultaneously conveying a modern aesthetic. The interior's modular layout and flexible, functional zoning cater to the diverse needs of the public and exemplify the innovative trajectory and sustainable development efforts within municipal architecture.

Heshan Verge prioritizes "natural symbiosis and functional integration" by incorporating green technologies, including rainwater harvesting systems and natural ventilation, thereby minimizing environmental impact. The design also offers multiple outdoor platforms and green spaces, fostering a harmonious relationship between inhabitants and nature. The thoughtfully planned spatial arrangement, colour palette, and decorative elements contribute to a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, enhancing users' emotional well-being.

To ensure structural safety and reliability, the building features a multi-storey core configuration supported by a peripheral frame. It is equipped with an intelligent monitoring system and emergency evacuation facilities.
