The prevalence of fast fashion has caused many social and environmental problems. These include textile overproduction, resource waste, and unsustainable practices. Consumers end up with tons of clothes they don’t use. They also have a hard time deciding what to wear. Additionally, traditional storage methods do not meet the demand for affordability, customization, and sustainability, hence the need for better eco-friendly closet management systems. FitHive, a smart wardrobe solution, addresses these specific issues and combines several new technologies, including AI, RFID, and AR. It automatically cleans and virtualizes the content of a closet. It provides users with recommendations on what to wear. The system uses modular storage, mobile applications, inbuilt mirrors, and virtual costume changes. It increases the utility of garments and encourages conscious consumption. The system extends the lifecycle of garments, reduces waste, and supports fashion sustainability. The system features powerful hardware, including NVIDIA's Jetson Xavier NX processor for artificial intelligence computing, Intel's RealSense D455 camera for virtual fitting, and RFID tags for accurate garment tracking. The LEDs enhance the product’s visibility for a better purpose.

For one thing, the design reduces environmental harm by using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient components. For another, it also includes recyclable modular units. FitHive’s interface is simple. Anyone can use it, regardless of their skill level. It also has a different function: to help people pick out clothes by collecting weather, events, and personal preferences. The advantage of this system is its durability, as it utilizes modular storage, fits into a variety of closet sizes, and, what’s more, can be expanded according to the user's requirements. FitHive is designed to incorporate smart home technology, digitalization, and sustainability, which are the large technology trends. More than just a closet organizing system, FitHive transforms the process of interacting with your closet into an easy, fast, and customizable green experience. This new setup bridges the gap that once existed between technology and truly eco-friendly living, helping consumers make better clothing choices while reducing damage to the atmosphere.
