In today’s competitive job market, technical skills alone aren't enough to secure top engineering roles. Our survey of 200+ tech recruiters revealed that 96% prioritize strong communication skills, yet over 2 million engineers and students still prepare for coding interviews on paper, lacking affordable ways to practice speaking. Traditional prep focuses on hard skills while neglecting soft skills, making interviews challenging.


To address this gap, we conducted in-depth interviews with 7 users, including PhD students and professionals in engineering, chemistry, finance, and tech. The research highlighted a common issue: candidates struggle to articulate their thought processes and navigate behavioral interviews, leading to lower confidence and missed opportunities.


MockAI bridges this gap by offering AI-driven mock interviews with realistic simulations, iterative feedback, and structured learning plans. Originally focused on coding practice, we are now expanding to incorporate soft skills, aiming to provide candidates with a comprehensive preparation tool that enhances both technical and communication abilities.
