EKONIKA - solution for the brand's showrooms.

As part of the rebranding of the EKONIKA footwear chain, we developed a new visual solution for the brand's showrooms.

EKONIKA, one of the largest shoe shop chains, has been on the market for 30 years. In the last five years, the brand has evolved to target a younger audience, requiring a fresh visual identity.

Concept

To create a cohesive concept, we studied the brand’s history and craftsmanship, identifying four core values: femininity, naturality, relevance, and warmth. Our goal was to modernize EKONIKA’s image while preserving these elements.

We based our concept on two main themes:

Mediterranean & Antiquity – Inspired by the brand’s origins and the history of shoemaking, we incorporated the aesthetic of a marble quarry with its purity and sculptural elegance.

Industrial Aesthetics – While visiting EKONIKA stores, we admired the precise organization of stock areas and decided to showcase these storage systems, making them part of the customer experience.

The fusion of these themes created a mix of natural tactility and modern industrialism.

Store Design

We developed interiors for three showroom types: standard stores in Moscow and St. Petersburg, simplified regional stores, and flagship locations designed to attract new audiences. The first flagship, in Afimall City, embodies our concept.

At its center, large white stone blocks add depth and intrigue. A visible storage area behind an amber glass wall and minimalist shelving enhance the clean aesthetic. A cobalt-blue ribbon weaves through the space, doubling as a catwalk, seating, and a display area for trend models.

We introduced a bold storefront design, replacing traditional windows with LED screens embedded in rough stone, inviting passersby inside effortlessly.

By merging naturality with industrialism, we created an elegant, functional space that reflects EKONIKA’s history while embracing contemporary retail trends.
