Drawing inspiration from the “Sea-Calming Pillar” of Eastern mythology, this concept is designed to imbue the stage with a stable and powerful spiritual core. It goes beyond mere set design to serve as a symbolic anchor: amidst the ever-changing dynamics of a performance, it provides a lasting and solid visual reference that carries the emotional and narrative essence of the show. This approach deeply integrates traditional cultural imagery with modern stage technology, transforming the stage from a simple backdrop into a living, breathing entity that resonates with the performance itself, endowing the entire production with monumental strength and resilience.
This stage design breaks away from the flat visual limitations of traditional stages through a three-sided LED screen formed by vertical columns, enveloping the audience’s view and creating an unprecedented sense of immersion. The striking large-scale imagery, synchronized with lighting and sound effects, creates a complete emotional environment. This design maximizes audience engagement, transforming every spectator from a “viewer” into an “active participant,” showcasing the ultimate synergy of technology, artistic experience, and human sensory care.
This design achieves the independence of the “largest single-structure stage form.” The 100.7-ton high-strength steel TRUSS stands firmly solely by its own weight, requiring no external rigging or support throughout the performance—a bold innovation in large-scale stage engineering. More importantly, a precise mechanical drive system is built into the massive structure, enabling the side screens to open and close at a 90-degree angle and slide into seamless alignment, representing a perfect fusion of structural statics and dynamic mechanical aesthetics.
In terms of appearance, the design pursues a dynamic and contemplative aesthetic. When the columns are closed, they form a minimalist yet powerful “point,” drawing the audience’s focus with a towering presence and evoking a sculptural sense of artistry. As the side screens unfold and align with the main screen, it instantly transforms into a grand “plane,” serving as a massive canvas for epic imagery. The dynamic transition from “point” to “plane” itself becomes a rhythmic visual performance, showcasing a shift from restraint to expansiveness, from focus to breadth, and imbuing the stage with limitless visual tension.
