Drawing on Schopenhauer’s view of leisure as a return to the self and a renewed sensitivity to happiness, Ciao Casa reimagines the home as a sanctuary of calm and warmth. Through refined spatial flow, tactile materials, and the choreography of light, the design cultivates a tranquil way of living.



Reflecting the homeowner’s life as an educator, the space serves as a retreat for introspection and renewal. It explores the interplay between active engagement and quiet receptivity, guiding the resident toward a harmonious rhythm of body and mind.



The foyer softens the original angular layout with a sculpted curve, offering a gentle visual transition that calms the senses. In the living area, removed partitions open up a flowing circulation, allowing light and shadow to weave together moments of daily life with emotional warmth.



In response to the city’s fast pace and the homeowner’s love of music, Ciao Casa creates a quiet corner in the master bedroom where integrated audio, warm wood tones, and gentle lighting form a sensory ritual—bridging the outer world and the inner self.
