Rooted in KENT & CURWEN’s century-long British heritage, this design integrates the brand’s DNA with a modern spatial language, centered on the philosophy of “the rejuvenation of classics.” The concept of “Boundary,” originating from a term in cricket, serves as both a cultural symbol and the narrative thread of the space. Blue tiles at the entrance transform this abstract idea into a tangible interface, while traditional British hues of red, blue, and white flow naturally throughout the interior. Rather than replicating classic elements, the design creates a dialogue between tradition and the present, allowing the brand’s history to unfold through spatial experience.

The project seeks to reinterpret authentic British aesthetics through a contemporary lens. In spatial planning, the team balanced recognizability with experience: a media wall and stained glass in the lounge area enrich the waiting experience with immersive brand ambiance, while inherited patterns, signature colors, and subtle logo integrations in the fitting rooms embed brand identity into spatial details. From functionality to experience, every design moment reinforces the brand’s positioning of “the integration of tradition and innovation.”

Breaking away from the heaviness of traditional British-style interiors, the design revitalizes classics through a “lightweight” approach. Metal racks and glass fixtures create visual rhythm and transparency, balancing the richness of classic tones while infusing modern lightness and energy. This combination redefines British style—classic yet relevant to contemporary aesthetics.

The project demonstrates a harmony of quality, functionality, and sustainability. Natural marble echoes the brand’s timeless elegance while minimizing the use of synthetic materials. Locally sourced materials shorten the supply chain, reducing environmental impact without compromising texture or craftsmanship. The comfortable lounge and thoughtfully detailed fitting rooms elevate user experience, integrating practicality with emotional resonance. In all, the design turns a century-old heritage from a distant symbol into a living experience of modern British elegance.
