The De Lin Li Silk Coffee Lifestyle Store is nestled within a historic Qilou building on an old street in Guangzhou. The design creates an immersive brand experience centered around the brand's core product: high-quality silk. The entire spatial concept draws inspiration from the inherent qualities of this natural fabric—its texture, touch, and rich visual grain.
The design thoughtfully integrates with the existing building structure. A unified semi-arc shape was applied to the façade openings, establishing a rhythmic and highly recognizable architectural language that enhances the shop's street presence. To soften the building's robust lines, warm grey paint and abundant greenery are used indoors, cultivating a serene atmosphere.
Inside, soft arcs flow like ribbons, echoing the silk products on display. Strategic voids were created by opening sections of the floor plate between levels, facilitating multi-dimensional product views and unique visual connections. A coffee bar on the first level invites visitors to enjoy a beverage in the third-floor lounge or the rooftop garden.
The second floor houses the main display of silks, dyed with plant-based colors, while the third floor offers a tactile product experience area. The journey culminates on the revitalized rooftop, where a garden and plunge pool create an urban oasis, fully utilizing the old structure and embodying the brand's spirit of finding tranquility. This space can also be reserved for private events.
