Zilang Lake Heyuan

The city of Nantong embodies a "converging vigor of the river and the sea"—like the Yangtze River gathering immense momentum before meeting the ocean, yet it reveals an unassuming elegance by the shores of Zilang Lake. The stacked villas of Heyuan, nestled beside Zilang Lake, are not a space eager to express itself. Building upon the forward-thinking product vision of China Merchants Shekou, 31.DESIGN has crafted an artistic residence that "conceals luxury within." With reverence for nature, insight into life, and dedication to art, they have created a spiritual sanctuary that transcends time.



The designers focused on spatial transitions, eliminating rigid wall partitions in favor of an open layout that allows the space itself to become a fluid artistic language. This marks the first step in the space’s active creation—not relying on external art displays, but instead allowing its own structure to generate dynamic beauty. Within this framework, art pieces blossom freely, expressing a vivid perception of vitality through unrestrained creative expression.
