Go Skate Day is a rebranding project for the national festival “Go Skateboarding Day,” an annual event that unites skateboarders of all levels to ride together and spark energy for the sport worldwide. Initially a niche and marginalized subculture, skateboarding has now entered the mainstream spotlight. This rebrand aims to promote skateboarding, raise awareness, and celebrate its vibrant, boundary-pushing culture. Drawing inspiration from the distinctive shapes of skatepark obstacles—ramps, rails, and bowls—for designing a custom typeface, and infusing the rebellious energy of street culture through a bold color palette, the new design system embraces a dynamic, free-spirited aesthetic. It captures skateboarding’s inventive and fearless spirit, reflecting the sport’s ever-evolving creativity.
