Centered around the concept of "Natural Symbiosis," this project redefines urban therapeutic relaxation spaces, transforming foot massage from a functional service into a "third space" that nurtures both physical and mental healing. The design brings nature into the relaxation experience, making it a sanctuary where city dwellers can momentarily detach from urban stress and engage in a restorative dialogue with nature.
By blending raw, native materials with modern design, the space creates an organic connection between the built environment and the natural world. Traditional clay bricks and untreated wood evoke a rustic, earthy texture, while minimalist metal elements highlight the natural grain of materials, allowing the "wild" essence of nature to merge seamlessly with urban life. Plants are integral to the design, not merely decorative but woven into the architecture, blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces. They encircle leisure zones, climb structural gaps, and transform the space into a "living" environment.
The design narrative, "The Capsule Descends into the Oasis," reflects a symbiosis between nature and technology, bridging spatial function with immersive experiences. Light plays a crucial role: during the day, natural light filters through the space, creating shifting patterns of light and shadow. At night, reverse lighting paired with textured contrasts transforms the space into a warm, avant-garde haven, defying the conventional image of a foot massage establishment.
Herbaceous plants and hanging greenery add layers of life and nature throughout the space, extending into corridors and private rooms, creating an organic flow. The curved observation window of the SPA room draws inspiration from "capsule windows," offering a glimpse of the thriving natural oasis outside, as if standing within a futuristic star capsule, observing a harmonious, technologically awakened nature.
