LUXURY MANSION

This project, located in Guangzhou’s Liwan District, combines Cantonese cultural heritage with innovative design to set a new standard for urban living. Drawing inspiration from the region’s rich history, the design incorporates elements like Lingnan-style grilles and Shanghainese Art Deco, blending traditional aesthetics with contemporary functionality. The project offers the N+ Living Scenarios concept, focusing on flexible, adaptable spaces that cater to changing needs over time. The unique N+1 interconnected room system allows the space to evolve with its residents, transforming from social areas for young couples to family-friendly zones for children or peaceful tea spaces in later years. This adaptable design addresses the market’s need for versatile living spaces that are practical, sustainable, and long-lasting.

The 126㎡ unit design takes cues from 1990s Shanghai, often referred to as the "Oriental Little Paris," integrating social spaces like coffee areas, Western dining, and afternoon tea setups. This concept evokes a refined, “old-money” aesthetic while maintaining modern functionality. Through careful cultural translation, the design brings local and regional influences into a contemporary framework, avoiding direct replication and instead creating a space that reflects the past while supporting modern living.

Material selection plays a critical role in the project’s luxury appeal, combining luxury stone, porcelain slabs, walnut wood, velvet, and wired glass to create a tactile, visually rich environment. The interplay of hard and soft materials, cool and warm textures, sets the design apart from the market’s typical mono-material accumulation. The layout is designed for efficiency and adaptability, with features such as rounded corners, soft materials, and safety mechanisms in family zones, and task-specific lighting for home offices.

Sustainability is embedded in the design through energy-efficient features, including three-bay south-facing layouts, floor-to-ceiling windows for natural lighting and ventilation, and integrated sunshades to reduce energy consumption. Overall, the project offers a refined, flexible living environment that combines cultural richness, modern functionality, and sustainable design.
