New Pants 2026 "The Wave Is Coming" Concert

The "UFO" concept for this tour originates precisely from the retro-futuristic vibe and romantic, rebellious spirit inherent to New Pants. To mark the band's 30th anniversary, we needed an ultimate visual motif capable of carrying their entire musical journey. New Pants' music has always navigated between 80s disco, urban punk, and sci-fi imagination. Therefore, the "UFO" is far more than a mere stage prop; it is a time machine and a spaceship for escaping reality. The moment the UFO descends, it signals the entire arena's official leap into the exclusive universe of New Pants.
Anchored by a pillarless, 360-degree circular stage, the physical UFO serves as the epicenter of visual focus and energy, transforming the entire arena into a colossal "Space Station." The UFO's dynamic flight path shatters the physical boundaries of a traditional stage—setting off from the main stage, it orbits the arena, precisely projecting light, energy, and atmosphere into every corner of the venue. This ensures that no audience member remains a mere spectator; instead, they become fellow voyagers aboard this spaceship, swept up together in the approaching tide.
Rather than imposing a rigid, one-way storyline, the live show designs an "Interstellar Voyage" co-created by the band and the audience: Awaiting Liftoff ➔ Traveling Through Time ➔ The Sweeping Tide ➔ Emotional Odyssey.
The audience will experience the complete evolution of the wave—from its brewing and arrival to its sweeping and total immersion. It begins with an opening countdown to the spaceship's launch, building an intense, immersive space atmosphere; as the music reaches its climax, the UFO ascends, descends, rotates, and opens, achieving a synchronized explosion of visual and auditory sensations. During the classic anthems, the band is elevated high above the stage. Complemented by full-arena floor projections, this ignites a massive sing-along, guiding the entire crowd into a state of pure ecstasy—a true "suspension of time and emotional odyssey." This is a space-time utopia where one can forget reality and simply jump, cry, and sing along to their heart's content.
