Located in the coastal embrace of South Horizons, this spacious residence serves as a sanctuary for a three-generation family. Confronting the spatial challenges of the building's notorious "diamond-shaped" living room, the design employs a strategic inverse thinking approach. The design boldly transposed the traditional living and dining areas, breaking free from rigid, awkward angles to introduce a curvilinear aesthetic that improves spatial flow and instills a sense of softness and warmth.
The entrance establishes a ceremonial "coming home" ritual. A bespoke partition—merging stainless steel, fluted glass, and vintage floor tiles—defines the foyer. This design not only creates an elegant visual transition but also integrates a subtle Feng Shui concept to "gather wealth" and energy.
Inside, the conventional sofa wall is replaced by a statement curved workstation. This pivotal element allows the male owner to enjoy panoramic sea views while working, yet remain visually connected to the living area. It perfectly embodies the ideal of "companion-style working," ensuring that productivity never comes at the cost of family interaction.
Every detail is a result of deep observation of the family's habits. The kitchen features a pragmatic "dark-bottom, light-top" color scheme for visual balance. The master suite boasts a nine-foot segmented headboard with integrated night-lighting for undisturbed rest, while the children’s room is meticulously designed with rounded edges and eye-friendly lighting to ensure safety.
The project transcends mere renovation; it is a translation of the concept of "home." Moving beyond cold luxury, the design has crafted a space that resonates with daily life, achieving a "150% satisfaction" rating from a family that now lives in perfect rhythm with the sea.
