2023 Taoyuan Band Festival

The 2023 Taoyuan Band Festival was held at Xinshi Park in Pingzhen. The series of events included five large outdoor music concerts, as well as three thematic music stages and a market area. The theme of the event centered around showcasing the diverse aspects of the bands.

The opening performance featured the R.O.C.Ministry of National Defense Symphony Orchestra and Japanese flutist Shigenori Kudo performing classical music, while the closing performance featured the Taoyuan 10-School Joint Wind Ensemble and the Pay Fong High School Malacca Wind Ensemble from Malaysia performing a grand musical performance by a 100-piece wind ensemble. Three thematic concerts were selected by the Call for Entries program for cross-boundary production, including "When Wind Music Meets National Music" by the Long Tan Philharmonic Orchestra, the TAIWAN TOP TEAM of the Year for 2023; "The Magic God of Music Descends" by the Chia Yi Wind Orchestra; and "Masterminds' Frenzy" by Taipei Civic Symphonic Band.
