This collection draws inspiration from the everyday experience of myopia, reinterpreting the "out-of-focus" state through a positive lens and transforming blur and shimmer into a distinctive design language. Through research into the optical principles of nearsightedness, core elements such as circles, light diffusion, and shifts in focus are translated into garment silhouettes and surface expressions.
Material selection combines linear LED strips with reflective fabrics, enabling the clothing to present dynamic visual effects under varying light sources. The soft glow of the LED strips mimics the scattering of light in a myopic eye, while the reflective fabrics create shimmering visual layers as ambient light changes, turning the garments into an "optical medium" between the body and space.
The silhouettes feature loose, layered structures, with details like circular cut-outs and gradient pleats echoing the "blurred edges, focused center" characteristic of myopic vision. Surface decorations focus on irregular light strip splicing and reflective prints, breaking the static nature of traditional clothing and endowing it with dynamic vitality that shifts with light.
Ultimately, this collection transforms a visual deficiency into an expressive tool, exploring the fluid and open relationship between the body, light, and space, and endowing "unclearness" with new aesthetic value. Clothing is no longer just a tool to cover the body, but a bridge connecting individual perception and the external environment, making the "out-of-focus" state a new perspective for exploring the self and the world.
