Future Solution LX: Corridor of Luminous Time

This design concept draws inspiration from two enduring sources: Shiseido’s century-old aesthetic emblem, the Hanatsubaki, and the maru-shoji, the circular screen in traditional Japanese spatial design that both articulates space and guides the movement of light. Together, three layered thresholds construct the narrative axis of light and time, shaping an immersive looping journey in which light redefines the perception of time.

The Hanatsubaki motif is extended and deconstructed into a multi-layered spatial language, breathing through alternating rhythms of brightness and shadow.

The first threshold is a sculptural interpretation of “luminous radiance” at the entrance, conceived as the visual anchor of the experience. From its center, a slender trace of light is projected forward, leading directly to the hero product visual and guiding visitors into the subtle mystery of Japanese spatial sensibility.

Passing through this “source of light,” the second threshold unfolds into a central passage with independent spaces extending to either side. Framed by translucent silhouettes and dynamic visual expression, the visitor is gradually led into a fuller understanding of the product’s essence, from its scientific core to its emotional resonance.

The third threshold opens into a relaxed and expansive consultation area, where the journey resolves into a final convergence of light and time. This concluding space serves as a metaphor for enduring anti-aging energy, inviting reflection, emotional connection, and a sense of completion.

As visitors leave with the imprint of light still lingering in memory, Shiseido’s symphony of a century of craftsmanship and cutting-edge science comes into focus and finds its lasting form in space.
