ChronoLarder is a systematic service design empowering traditional kitchen appliances with a low-cost, smart upgrade. Driven by an ingredient freshness algorithm, the system directly addresses blind hoarding and food waste to reshape rational consumption habits from the source, transforming tedious food tracking into an intuitive and heartwarming kitchen experience. The system orchestrates a strategic multi-device synergy to maximize workflow efficiency and minimize cognitive friction, redistributing complex tasks according to user environments. While the iPad application shifts into a glanceable, near-field kitchen assistant to minimize decision-making and time spent at the fridge door, the smartphone application acts as a ubiquitous data hub and digital control center for household ingredients.

To reduce kitchen waste, this application seamlessly synchronizes multi-device purchasing data and tracks multi-space inventory through four interconnected functional dimensions. It features a comprehensive Data Dashboard that delivers intuitive behavior visualization through health scores and waste reports, translating raw consumption data into actionable savings. Meanwhile, the AI Recipes module provides expiring food rescue by generating one-click recipes based on current stock, deploying smart algorithms to predict precise portion sizes and eliminate leftovers. Furthermore, the Fridge Management hub functions as a real-time status monitoring center to track produce shelf life and prevent repetitive buying with tailored purchasing recommendations, while the Personal Profile matrix aggregates family dietary preferences, allergies, and health goals to power highly personalized nutritional analysis.
