Laboratories La Prairie represents exclusive, scientifically advanced skin care. The brand’s origins can be traced back to the famous La Prairie Clinic in Montreux, Switzerland – a pioneer in anti-aging cellular therapy. Being a luxury brand with rich heritage and provenance, La Prairie is at the forefront of skin care product research and development. Inspired by the definitive minimal codes and dynamic balance of form and function from the Bauhaus movement, La Prairie’s offerings is often in pursuit of such delicate harmony.

The Bauhaus movement is known to be governed by the principles of harmony, by form and function, by the emotional and the rational, by art and science. The design team contemplated the essence of each governing principles and re-calibrated a design manifestation that embodies the harmonising balance between form and function, an aesthetic that connects to space users on an emotional level through a rational perspective.

The spatial design is the pinnacle expression of making it simple but significant. Basic geometrical shapes were re-constructed in audacious ways, portraying a dialogue between beauty and fundamental functional forms. The result is an impression of undeniable harmony, a vision of timeless beauty. In respect of being environmentally sensitive, we look into proposing sustainable materials from reputable sources that have proven good track record and focuses on cradle to cradle bio-mimetic design approach.

Further, efforts were concentrated into energy saving solutions that offers ease of maintenance by maximising day light, installation of programmable thermostat and energy-saving light fittings. Leveraging upon today’s advancement in materiality and technology, we were able to sculpt and construct complex architectural forms that stands as a strong statement while blending in harmony with its modern classical surrounding, representing the delicate balance between art and science.
