The Humax MX7 represents a seamless fusion of design, functionality and personalisation – bringing a fresh perspective to home and business EV charging. Designed with the modern user in mind, the MX7 offers a customisable aesthetic through its swappable front fascia, allowing owners to match their charger to their home's exterior or environment. Available in a range of colours and finishes, the interchangeable panels empower users to express personal style while maintaining a sophisticated, architectural appearance. The MX7’s minimalistic design features clean lines and a buttonless surface, ensuring the charger sits flush against the wall, almost becoming an extension of the building itself. The design thoughtfully employs a two-tone palette – a high-gloss finish on the top portion contrasts with a matte finish on the main panel – subtly highlighting the premium quality of the materials and craftsmanship. This refined combination enhances the visual appeal and conveys a sense of understated elegance and durability. More than just a charger, the MX7 is a design-conscious object that complements contemporary living spaces, while delivering advanced functionality. By reimagining an everyday utility product through the lens of design, Humax has created a charging solution that homeowners can be proud to display.

From a technical perspective, the Humax MX7 is the first vehicle-to-grid (V2G) ready EV charger for home use in the UK – enabling drivers to benefit from future vehicle-to-grid (V2G) functionality, along with multiple energy-saving and cost-optimising features. The charger is equipped with an integrated Power Line Communication (PLC) module and ISO 15118 protocol, allowing seamless digital communication with electric vehicles, allowing the charger to identify each vehicle individually. Engineered to support continuous software updates, the addition of new smart features and long-term performance, flexibility and future compliance are assured. The charger is OZEV approved, making it eligible for government grants to help offset installation costs, where available. With safety a top priority, the MX7 includes integrated temperature sensors, overcharge protection and a tamper-detection switch, for a secure and reliable charging experience. Furthermore, installation is simple thanks to the product’s hinged front panel, providing easy access during set-up.
