The 2025 Fugang Railway Art Life Festival is built around the theme “Nostalgic Moments,” honoring nearly a century of history since Fugang Station was established during the Japanese colonial era. Beyond its function as transit infrastructure, the railway embodies collective memories shared across generations. The festival invites residents and visitors alike to reconnect with treasured pasts and to create new meaningful experiences within an environment shaped by railway rhythm and heritage.
In 2025, the festival forms a strategic thematic link with the Taoyuan Mesona Carnival, bridging Fugang’s railway culture with Yangmei’s Hakka floral landscapes. This cross-regional collaboration broadens cultural tourism appeal and is designed to attract both domestic and international visitors, enhancing the overall destination value of the Yangmei area.
The festival expands the Fugang Railway identity by integrating railway culture, art, lifestyle, and tourism. Over 16 days, railway-themed exhibitions and installations invite dialogue between artistic expression and historical context, breathing new life into heritage spaces. Weekend markets and guided tours of the locomotive depot provide immersive experiences that reveal authentic operations and everyday narratives of rail life. Curated cultural routes and coordinated promotions with the Taoyuan Mesona Carnival extend visitor engagement and enrich travel itineraries. The result is a cohesive experience that blends cultural depth, artistic exploration, lifestyle interaction, and tourism appeal.
The event also aims to stimulate regional economic vitality by activating key locations from Fugang Station to Taoyuan Train Station, Fugang Sports Park, and Yangmei’s leisure agricultural areas. By aligning festival programming with local tourism resources and seasonal events, it creates compelling “railway & industry” linkages that draw visitors, boost local consumption, and contribute measurable economic impact.
Through its celebrates culture by innovatively blending tradition, design, and location based experiences, combining nostalgia, artistic vision, and community engagement.
