About The Entry

"Wordless Tone" is a multi-sensory therapeutic application designed for autistic children and their families, aiming to transcend the limitations of traditional language-centric interventions. By leveraging non-verbal interactions through music, imagery, movement, and touch, Vibe translates children's inexpressible inner emotions into immediate visual and auditory feedback. Visually, the app employs highly concrete symbols, soft colors, and rounded forms to create a low-stimulation, high-security environment that minimizes cognitive load and defensive anxiety. Functionally, it utilizes a "trigger-and-feedback" mechanism to help children establish causal links between actions and emotions, while converting these interactions into retrievable multi-sensory records. This provides parents with an intuitive pathway to understand their child's emotional state, transforming therapy into a safe and efficient shared experience. Serving as a vital complement to conventional interventions across home and educational settings, Vibe seeks to overcome social passivity in autistic individuals, advocating for their right to self-expression, understanding, and respect, and shifting societal perspectives from "substituted understanding" to supporting their participation in authentic and dignified communication.
